If you have not yet heard about or seen the trending Netflix limited TV series, Blood Sisters starring Ini Dima-Okojie, Nancy Isime, Ramsey Nouah, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Kehinde Bankole, Uche Jombo, Gabriel Afolayan, Daniel Etim Effiong, Genoveva Umeh and other A-list actors, then where have you been?
The Nigerian TV series, whose original idea was created by Ted Abudu, follows the story of two best friends; Sarah and Kemi, who are on a life saving run from the police and a super wealthy family, after Kemi murders Sarah's Fiance in self defense.
Now plotline aside, let's focus on the fashion styling/costuming of the movie, because that's why we are here.
As we know, there's so much that costuming can do, to make or mar the outcome of a movie/TV series and in this case, we found fabulous costume picks that we fancied in the TV series, that we think you would fancy too, with thanks and credit for the Wardrobe Curation/Costuming, going to Yolanda OkerekeYolanda Okereke, who gave fashion interpetation and life to each of the casts.
From Inidima's (who plays Sarah) gorgeous two piece Purple #BibiLawrence #IgboBride traditional wedding look, including her Gold Dress, plus Silver embellished dress, worn for her engagement dinner, to Nancy's Pink monochrome look, to Timeyin's Green x Black dress entrance look (played by Genoveva Umeh) to Daniel Etim's Graphic Tunic paired with Sneakers look, to Kate Henshaw's costumes (who plays the Narcissitic mother of the murdered Fiance); from the yellow aso-oke with exaggerated sleeves, embellished capes and kimonos she donned on almost throughout thr movie, and Kehinde Bankole's Purple Kimono Jacket paired with the black dress and her wedding dress style, to the fit of Uche Jombo's green and Silver dress on her, worn for her daughter's wedding, etc we compiled the images of the outfits and more, that we could find, to share with you.
