Pads Or Tampons? Which One Is Healthier? Read A Twitter User's Scary Experience With A Branded Pad.

Women, in the last few years, have been complaining about the adverse reactions and effects that various branded pads; are causing on their vaginal health, especially "Always", and the complaints, which are not just limited to the Always brand, are inclusive of some other brands too.

Pad users have generally complained about being prone/allergic to the chemicals present in these pads, and as such, have shared their experiences to create more awareness; with the most common allergic reaction presenting itself in form of rashes and other more adverse reactions like cysts, urinary tract infection, toxic shock syndrome, septic shock, necrotizing fasciitis etc....

The impact of both pads and tampons on the vaginal health, has so far been a controversial topic, as health articles say that it "supposedly" seems to be dependent on whether the individual is prone to the chemicals present or not.

Nonetheless, there are very serious questions and concerns about the quality of these pads being sold in certain parts of the continent; regulations in place of these products.

Menstruation is a reality of life for women, and even though there are several options apart from pads, such as tampons, reusable cups, washable pads, menstrual cups and panty liners to deal with menstruation, sanitary pads which continue to be the more popular choice in the market, are mostly compared to tampons and the others, as to which is the better option for #MenstrualHygiene.

As it is, both tampons and pads have impacts on the vaginal health, and the one you choose, will eventually depend on your preference.

It is then advised to oversee the compatibility of any of these brands, with the vaginal area before committing to any of them.
