I actually had a writer's block, before I was able to make up my mind about writing on this topic; and also thanks to a little bit of "polling" from like 3 people .
I'm like I tend to write a lot more on female fashion and style, and while I'd admit that it's super easy to write on that, writing on male stuff can be challenging, which is pretty much good.
Before the ladies run off/close the blog link, let us remember we are supposed to be involved in the men's look, (asides the fact God is watching you oh lol) almost every step of the way. So when you are at a loss for what to get for your dad, brother, man, you have come to the right place.
Soo.. Floral Patterns for men? Yeah.. It is a 2013/2014 trend which has been spotted on various runways; Gucci, Calvin Klein, Prada, Alexander McQueen etc.
Initially men didn't buy into the idea of rocking floral patterned clothes, as florals are basically feminine, but designers started to incorporate darker floral colours into their designs, to provide an edgier masculine feel to them. So I guess it takes a lot of confidence/courage for men to rock this trend.
So instead of the usual Hawaiian floral beach shirts like these ones, we are accustomed to seeing,
...you can now rock floral patterned clothes in either casual/formal ways, depending on how you pair them.
HOW?
- If you decide to rock a floral suit, they should be in neutral colours, in which the florals are rich and interesting enough. You can pair with a pair of loafers, a pair of brogues, or buck shoes.
- The easiest to style is probably a pair of floral trousers, by pairing with basic t shirts and shirts with rolled up sleeves; in basic colours of grey, white, black, brown. Depending on which look you are going for (laid back, casual or formal/sophisticated), you can pair with a pair of sandals, loafers, brogues.
- Style your floral tailored shorts with; matching tops, plain to shirt or shirt, clashing print (should be in the same colour family). The shoes will depend on the look you are going for as explained above too.
So let's take a look at more floral patterned clothes for men, and tell me what you think?
Would you rock/buy any?
