I was opportuned to attend the Africa Fashion Week Nigeria Show that took place on Sunday the 18th of May. The show was a success, and very enjoyable, the bits I was able to watch, because sadly I was uber busy, running around for my boss who was one of the designers showcasing.
The event originally started on Saturday though, to end on Sunday, but I only went for yesterday's show.
The aim of the Africa Fashion Week show or event is to generally showcase the designs of Fashion designers and then emerging fashion designers, hence promoting African fashion on a global perspective. This is its first show in Nigeria, but it's been held in the UK thrice.
So there were a whole lot of dignitaries and celebrities present, and I was able to take pictures with the few I came across, plus I was sooo impressed with designs showcased by the Designers I was able to see. Here are some pictures; (the pictures aren't really clear though, really sad and annoying:( as I didn't carry a camera along.. so please manage them, to just have a faint idea of how interesting the show was. Believe me pictures wouldn't do the event justice....
