Currently in Enugu for the holiday with the family, and the weather is hotter than Lagos', so that's pretty much annoying,asides that, in as much as I'm with family, nothing else matters really.
So I was going through Osas Ighodaro's (Miss Black USA 2010) (@officialosas) instagram profile earlier on today, and that was when I got the idea for this post.
I'm like I should blog on celebrities who I think have a great sense of style and "wear clothes" really well and "clothes don't wear them". These are people I think would be perfect "muses" for designers, and stylists in general.
I will start with the ladies, and then later on do a post on Male celebrities. Maybe eventually do posts on "average joes/plain janes" like you and I.
In no particular order, these are the ladies (celebrities) in my head presently. If you think any female celebrity should be on this list, feel freeeeeeeeee to opine and I will add them to the next list. Remember style is not just judged by "glamour" or "shapely bodies".
Who is/are your favorite stylish lady(ies) in this first list?
- Toke Makinwa: She has a petite frame and therefore always looks good on the red carpet/events; plus it seems like almost anything goes;
- Solange Knowles: asides the fact shes trendy, Solange is eclectic and seems to love colours and prints. She rocks them well, plus her natural hair is gorgeous too!
- Rihanna: Ha, for Rihanna, no words. Rihanna is a style icon, trend setter, and can wear rubbish/rags and still look amazingly good. it is no wonder designers want a "piece of her". Toooo many pictures to choose from, but you guys get my drift?
- Eku Edewor: Eku is a tv presenter, and has a model's physique and is therefore also a designer's delight;
- Tiwa Savage: A musician. Tiwa is a delight to look out for, she rocks designer stuff really well. She and Rihanna are "kind of" similar in dressing terms, and I'd gladly raid their closets.
This is the first set of Ladies, this would definitely be continued.
