There are a few tidbits to know about Velvet's rich luxe look and its trend, and one of such is the fact that Velvet was a quintessential 90's trend, before making a comeback into recent fashion.
Velvet fabric is super soft and cozy, and can be perfect for colder seasons, as long as it is worn correctly.
Styling tips for rocking the Velvet fabric/trend include;
- If rocking a full velvet look i.e from head to toe, seems scary, then try velvet shoes or a single piece e.g a velvet kimono or a velvet blazer like Kanye West. ( See picture below)
- Don't be afraid to play around and mix the velvet fabric with other textures of fabric. e.g pairing a velvet skirt with a knitted top.
- An elegant Velvet dress or jumpsuit, is a perfect choice for evening. Pair with a statement neckpiece and va va voom!
- For the velvet connoisseur and bold fashionistas, there's the Velvet suit, or head to toe velvet look you can gladly rock.
- And of course, the treend is very versatile. So feel free to rock to both your formal and informal outfings, when worn right of course.
