According to the Designer, @akuaasanteofficial,

"My concept is a combination of the futuristic movement and the Ghanaian culture.

The futuristic movement encompasses some abstract ideas and shapes. It also unveils contemporary innovations and manipulations inspired by movement and volume.

I have taken the prominent components of the Ghanaian heritage including our bold colours and traditional embroidery details and fused them with these innovative ideas and shapes.

The concept is also linked with the challenge of globalisation in my country; the lack of interaction between Ghana and other cultures. Connecting the difficulties being faced in this present day to my core idea in a way they interact, can create a compelling story through fashion.

To conclude, ethnic revolution is a transformation of the Ghanaian culture into a stage where our creativity can go beyond where it is today, and our intelligence will become more powerful in order to establish a fascinating influence through fashion".
