MET Gala 2015: Best And Worst Dressed Celebrities

EVENT: MET Gala 2015 (4th of May).

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?: The most important glamourous costume party/ fashion event that takes place yearly.

AIM: Annually raise funds for the operating expenses of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute

THEME: "China through the looking glass"

In layman's term, celebrities or attendees were supposed to show up in costumes celebrating the influence China/Chinese aesthetics/art has had on western fashion. Basically "celebrating all things Chinese art, design and dresses that interpret the country's culture". (Mashable.com)

SUMMARY: While most of the costumes won by this year's attendees/celebrities were particularly "bleh"/bland/too simple, plus filled with a lot of red, sheer or perhaps nudity, it also had some show stopping costumes in a break the Internet kind of way, which I guess was somewhat good for said celebrities if they were reaching for "shock value"(bad/good publicity) if you catch my drift!

Now, have in mind that the MET gala is all about extravanganza as long as you are on track with the theme, meaning you can be very artsy/ do the most.

Costume party basically!

Rihanna's outfit was definitely theme-worthy, but then her outfit which she claimed took two years to make, by Chinese couturier, Guo Pei, looked nice depending on the angle of her photographs. But still, it looked like a duvet!
